Chango is a leading group contribution and crowdfunding platform specifically designed for the African community. Chango supports various payment methods, including Mobile Money (MoMo) and card payments, catering to the prevalent electronic transaction practices in Africa.

The platform offers two distinct types of groups:

<ul>
 <li>Private Groups: Private groups are closed communities comprised of individuals who have a common goal or passion. These groups are ideal for alumni networks, families, friends, religious organizations, or any other collective aiming to raise funds. Private groups provide complete transparency regarding funds collected and allow members to contribute anonymously if desired. Disbursement of funds from private groups follows a democratic process, with members or admins voting according to group policies. Funds can be disbursed to bank accounts or mobile wallets in Ghana. Additionally, private groups can configure options for members to borrow funds and repay them within the group.</li>
 
 <li>Public Groups: Public groups are campaigns that target the general public for financial support. These groups can only be formed by verified organizations. All funds raised through public campaigns are settled to the designated bank account of the organization.</li>
</ul>

Chango serves multiple purposes and can be utilized in various scenarios:

 <li>Old School Alumni: Alumni associations can use Chango to collect funds for school development projects. By setting up public groups on Chango, they can garner support from alumni across different year groups and membership.</li>
 
 <li>Medical Needs: Chango offers hope to individuals facing life-altering illnesses, which may have significant financial implications. Whether raising funds publicly or privately, Chango allows for shared financial burdens that go beyond savings or insurance coverage.</li>
 
 <li>Support in Bereavement: During times of grief, Chango provides a platform for family, friends, and other groups to contribute funds to alleviate the financial burden of dealing with a loss. All contributions are tracked, and settlement to the intended destination is guaranteed.</li>
 
 <li>Emergencies/Relief Efforts: In the face of disasters or emergencies, Chango enables individuals to transform their compassion into action by providing a channel for direct financial assistance.</li>
 
 <li>Family-House Keeping and Expense Tracking: For households where spouses prefer not to have a joint bank account but still want to manage shared expenses, Chango offers a practical solution. Private groups with both spouses can be created to cover common family needs like groceries, bills, school fees, and more.</li>
</ul>

Please note that while Chango is accessible to anyone, group creation and cashout services are currently available only in Ghana. Funds can be withdrawn via Mobile Money or banks in Ghana.
